Dear fellow traveller If nothing else, lockdowns and travel restrictions have made us look back and reflect on our journey to date. We certainly have travelled a long journey together with our clients, and it's been a pretty incredible one at that! Since 1999, The Golf Travel Company has strived to bring you the best golfing holidays available to the South African market. We've adapted as the times have changed, added new destinations as the demand grew and refreshed itineraries when it was necessary. While the focus started as golf, one of the biggest changes in the first decade was the move from "golf tours" to "golfing holidays" when we incorporated more "non-golfing" activities after golf on our tours. From Ireland to Vietnam and pretty much all worthwhile golfing destinations in between, our clients have enjoyed the challenge of new golf courses and the pleasure of destinations most say they would never have experienced without our planning. And this has given us immense pleasure and satisfaction. This most positive feedback led us to relook our range of offerings not only for golfing destinations, but also the calls for activities other than golf. So, we slowly started introducing a new range of destinations and itineraries offering food, wine, whisky, fashion and adventure experiences. The wheels were in motion for all this to be implemented in 2020, but Covid somehow managed to delay those plans. However, with the extra time on hand we have restructured the business and relocated our registered office to Europe, implemented digital systems to make booking and travel easier for our clients, reactivated the postponed tours to be ready for 2022 and along the way rebranded the company. We're super excited to introduce to you... So now whether you want to travel to one of our exciting golfing destinations, tackle cycling trip through beautiful scenery and places, travel with culture-focussed friends or your wine club, slip on your running shoes for some of Europe's great trails or join your hiking partners on specially selected and professionally guided hikes, we shall now be in a position to bring you the same great travel experiences no matter what your choice of holiday or destination.
